Maia Madani Davies is a dynamic advocate for the Inclusive Economic Growth and Employment track, representing the European Union at the Y20 Summit 2025. Maia’s journey into international development began with a strong academic foundation, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Development from the University of Sussex. She also holds a Master of Science in Comparative Education and International Development from the University of Edinburgh.
As Vice President of Young European Leadership (YEL), she brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to fostering sustainable development and empowering communities worldwide. Professionally, Maia is the co-founder and Managing Director of Quadrumvirate Advisory, a firm specializing in foreign aid and overseas development. Her firm plays a key role in advising on impactful international development strategies that foster long-term, inclusive growth. Prior to her entrepreneurial role, Maia gained significant experience as a UK Delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), where she contributed to policy discussions on gender equality, innovation, and the digital age. Her time at CSW allowed her to deepen her understanding of the intersection between gender equality and economic development, particularly in the context of rural and marginalized communities.
In addition to her work with Quadrumvirate Advisory, Maia’s experience extends to roles in international development organizations and NGOs. Notably, she worked with UNDP and contributed to initiatives focused on sustainable recovery and climate resilience in vulnerable communities. Her work as a data collector for the COVID-19 Global Gender Response Tracker, in collaboration with the OECD, highlighted her ability to use data and research to drive impactful policy decisions for a more sustainable and equitable world.
