Meet the Y20 EU Delegate – Antonio Tintoré Vicent

Antonio Tintoré Vicent is a graduate student in Transatlantic Affairs and Economics, currently completing a joint master’s programme between the College of Europe and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. His academic and professional focus lies at the intersection of geoeconomics, international security, and strategic statecraft, with a particular interest in EU-US relations, economic governance, and Europe’s role in a competitive global order. He currently serves as the EU Y20 2025 Delegate for the track: Meaningful Youth Engagement and Reforming Multilateralism for a Just Future.

Antonio’s professional experience spans across policy research and economic analysis, with a recent internship at the Mercator Institute for China Studies (MERICS) in Berlin, where he published articles on China’s economic performance and foreign investment environment, and conducted supply chain analysis within the context of EU-China geopolitics. He also worked as a research intern at the European Policy and Information Center (EPICENTER) in London, contributing to policy briefs on EU trade policy and representing EPICENTER at international events.

In addition to his professional work, Antonio is an active leader in academic and extracurricular organizations. He serves as the Head of External Relations at the College of Europe Security and Defence Society, where he organizes high-level events and institutional trips to institutions such as NATO and the European Council. Antonio is also a producer for the College Security and Defence Podcast (CSDP), where he records interviews with prominent experts in international relations.

With a First Class Honours degree in History and Economics from the University of Edinburgh, Antonio has demonstrated exceptional academic rigor. His dissertation analyzed the currency composition of foreign exchange reserves and the role of the US dollar in a multipolar world order. Fluent in English and Spanish, Antonio also holds intermediate proficiency in Chinese and has completed various certifications in international energy, financial markets, and world history.

Passionate about global politics, economics, and international relations, Antonio continues to hone his expertise in these fields, making him a key contributor to shaping the future of transatlantic relations and global economic governance.
