Hosted by the All-China Youth Federation (ACYF), the forum brings together policymakers, international organizations, civil society leaders, and young change makers, the forum serves as a hub for dialogue on the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing today\u2019s generation. It reflects a growing global commitment to empowering youth as key contributors to social, economic, and political progress. This year’s summit will take place in Wuhan, China from June 14th-17th, 2026.<\/p>\n
As an international gathering focused on youth-driven solutions, WYDF highlights the importance of cross-cultural collaboration and inclusive participation. The forum emphasizes themes such as sustainable development, innovation, global governance, and youth leadership\u2014areas that are increasingly central to shaping resilient and forward-looking societies.<\/p>\n
At a time when global challenges, from climate change to digital transformation, require coordinated action, platforms like WYDF provide a critical space for knowledge exchange, partnership-building, and actionable outcomes. The forum not only elevates youth voices but also integrates them into broader policy and development frameworks, ensuring that future strategies are both inclusive and impactful.<\/p>\n
Notably, contributing to this dialogue is Young European Leadership (YEL), reinforcing the importance of structured youth engagement in global decision-making spaces. By participating in WYDF, YEL continues its mission of connecting young leaders with influential international platforms where policy, innovation, and development intersect.<\/p>\n
We are proud to announce that Youth Leadership Europe will be represented at the World Youth Development Forum 2026. This opportunity highlights YEL\u2019s expanding role in bridging youth leadership with global governance and development initiatives while maintaining collaborative ties with China. The hosts of WYDF, the All-China Youth Federation, are also responsible for China’s G20 Youth delegations. This enhanced collaboration format will allow YEL and ACYF to continue to work towards improving relations between the European Union and China.<\/p>\n
Our participation underscores the belief that young professionals and emerging leaders must play an active role in shaping international agendas. From sustainable development to digital innovation and social equity, youth perspectives are essential to ensuring that progress remains inclusive, ethical, and future-oriented.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, in a step towards a better partnership between YEL and ACYF, YEL President Augusto Gonzalez was invited to serve on the WYDF’s Agenda Committee. This is the organ responsible for helping to steer the forum’s policy discussions and agenda for the coming years. Only a handful of top international youth leaders from around the world are invited to sit on this committee (five to ten in total) and they are aided in their work by the United Nations through UNESCO, the FAO, and the ILO. We are honored to have a YEL member be appointed to this prestigious international posting and we are\u00a0eager to continue to build bridges with our Chinese partners for years to actively promote and improve EU-China relations in the face of an ever more turbulent world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
